Who can participate?
Anyone! We will have trainings throughout the summer to make sure everyone is prepared and ready.
Experienced Wix Developers:
Join us to challenge your skills in a month long hackathon. Have a chance to think through your builds, add all the creative features you can imagine.
Experienced Non-Wix Developers:
We think you'll be shocked at what youre able to accomplish with Wix Velo and Wix Studio. Make this your Introduction!
Just starting out? We have prizes and opportunities to learn and grow. Knowing a little React won't really help you. Knowing enough Wix Studio and you could have a strong agency built up in 6 months.

What are the prizes?
Main Prize: $1500
Whichever team does the best in the judgement of the judges will get the main prize
New to Wix Prize: $1000
Only those who are participating for the first time AND don't have Velo Certification or WixStudio Certifications are eligible
Category Prize Pool: $750
Projects will be judged based on several factors, and we will be awarding prizes to those who excel in various domains AND who didnt win either of the other prizes.
Community Engagement Pool: $1250
If you support the community by doing cool things, inviting others to join, and being all around awesome, you can get some money too!

What is the project?
Our team will build a basic version of...something. Then we will send the template to all the teams, and whoever makes it better the best wins!
It could be anything, and we will release the template version on the first day of competition
Why keep it s secret? Well, we want everyone to start from the same starting point at the same time. If we told you the specific type of project, you could just build your own starting now and get a head start.
How will we be judged?
3 general categories:
1) Optimization: our template with have some issuesand we want to see that you can fix them.
2) New Featrues: any platform can be exapnded , lets see what you come up with!
3) Design and UX: Wix Studio makes design and UX very easy to update, so show what you can do. Luckily you'll only be judged on the desktop version and user journeys, rather than color choice or the button corners.
